The Sexual Behaviors Consultation Unit (SBCU) was established in 1971 as a specialty clinic within the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. It functions as both an educational and clinical facility. The SBCU provides educational services for medical students and resident physicians at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. The SBCU also offers evaluation and treatment for sexually related problems and disorders, including sexual dysfunctions, paraphilias, compulsions, and gender identity disorders, in both adults and children.
